Hi! I’m Vy with Crafting Daily Dose. Welcome to this month’s A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop, featuring alternatives for the May 2024 Best There Is kit.
This kit included supplies for 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. Kits always come with an exclusive stamp set, a mini ink cube, embellishments, and adhesives. As of today, refills are still available for this kit.
This is an easy alternative that creates an easel card. Instead of using the card base in the portrait orientation, I simply turned it on its side and scored halfway across the card front (at 2-1/8” from the edge). The sentiment label is now also in the landscape orientation, so I chose one of the sentiments that fit and stamped it using Misty Moonlight ink. I also added interest with the texture stamp and Crumb Cake ink.
When attaching the sentiment label and decorative die cuts, I was careful to only add adhesive to areas that would be below the score line so that the card front could be propped up like this:
I decorated the inside of the card with additional stamping. For the stopper, I used a punch a small circle from one of the envelopes and propped it up with a Dimensional foam sticker.
Thank you so much for visiting! Don’t forget to follow the hop to see other creative projects from our team!
June 10th is the last day to sign up for this month’s kit, called Life is Sweet. This kit will make 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. If you‘re in the U.S. and would like to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me, I’ll send you a handmade thank you card, and I’ll be sure to let you know when I post new ideas!
