Fun in the Sun #1

Paper Pumpkin is Stampin' Up's monthly subscription box. July's "Fun in the Sun” kit contained supplies for 9 cards--3 each of 3 different designs. Kits always include an exclusive stamp set, a mini ink cube, embellishments, and adhesives.

I'm so in love with this kit, which has bright cheerful images and a side-step accordion fold that gives dimension and makes the card perfect for displaying. The intended projects are always fun, but I love to find different ways to use the kits and show their versatility.

You can make an even bigger splash with this card by making it interactive!

This alternative can be made with mostly the supplies from the kit. I only swapped coordinating Azure Afternoon ink for the sentiment, and I used different adhesive. Oh, and there's an added penny!

It's really a quick upgrade. Watch the tutorial if you'd like to make one:

August 10th is the last day to sign up for next month’s kit, called Meaningful Flowers. This kit makes 8 cards, 4 each of 2 designs. We'll get a Pretty Peacock mini ink cube, which is a new core color. Plus, there's a bonus stamp set! If you‘re in the U.S. and would like to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me, I’ll send you a handmade thank you card, and I’ll be sure to let you know when I post new ideas!
