Hi! I’m Vy with Crafting Daily Dose. Welcome to this month’s A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop, featuring alternatives for the January 2025 Hearts for You kit.
This kit included supplies for 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs. Kits always come with an exclusive stamp set, a mini ink cube, embellishments, and adhesives. As of today, refills are still available for this kit.
I really loved the charming envelopes that came with this kit, so my project features them.
The envelope becomes a part of the card itself.
In this version, I’ve decorated the back of the card (which was originally the front of the envelope), but you could also use it to write the address of the recipient. Put this into a clear envelope, and you’ll be able to mail it as is!
I started by cutting apart the envelope and trimming the “ears” on the back.
The only items that are not part of the kit are two small pieces of Real Red cardstock that I used to make accordion supports on the sides. This allows the finished to stand on its own.
I used the front of one of the cardbases as the message panel. By adding a score line before glueing it to the crease of the envelope, it slides up a bit as the envelope flap is lifted. The subtle background design adds interest but is still light enough to allow you to use it to write your message.
