Open Doors

Writer's picture: Vy TranVy Tran

If you’re in search of a new fun-fold card, this’ll open doors for you! I’m still having fun with the Home & Garden set, and I wanted to create a different type of shed for the tools. When you open the top section, a simple mechanism swings the doors open!

I’ve got a tutorial to help you make your own, and if you liked this project, then check out the Home & Garden Workshop for more ideas!

Measurements:

-Basic Gray cardstock

  • 5-1/2” (W) x 5-3/4” (H), scored at 4-1/4” along the long side

  • TWO 1-1/2” (W) x 5” (H), scored at 3/4” along the short side. Mark at 1–1/2” from the top and make additional score lines as in video

  • TWO 2“ (W) x 3–1/2” (H)

-Basic White cardstock

  • 3-3/4” (W) x 8” (H), scored at 4” along the long side

-Heart & Home Designer Series Paper, Pattern 1

  • FOUR 2” (W) x 3-1/2” (H)

-Heart & Home Designer Series Paper, Pattern 2

Here’s a different version using the He’s the Man Designer Series Paper. This is one I had made for Father’s Day, but of course you can use another sentiment instead.
